Thanks and happy new year. Great writeup. I think you should make a knife in 2018 If you invite me, I’ll give a try...but I suppose to be 102% talent-free 😎🙏 Happy new year mate 🎉🎉🎉 LG Andre Don't worry I'm a great teacher. When zetieum was here the first day I showed him how to stick a sharp knife into the side of the full speed running grinder and launching it tip first into my leg 😀

Also 2018 dann die Weltherrschaft! Muahahaha! LG Daniel

Very pleasant write up, Andre. For the most part I agree with what you have mentioned. Comet, though I have yet to actually speak with Trey himself, I am currently using 2 of his knives on borrow groom a friend. Amazing work indeed. Oatley, as you said, wow wow wow. His work has quickly become a fan favorite of mine. Sadly though I must disagree about robin. His dealings with me were lower than low, and dishonest. So disappointing as I used to sing him nothing but praise in his beginning days. Heck, my input alone helped him sell MANY knives amongst my friends. Such a shame.
But as you mentioned, 2017 was quite the year for new knife makers hitting the radar. Many just through social media (Instagram) and word of mouth. So delightful to see! It will certainly effect other knife makers who seem to prefer treating their customers like crap reconsider their false sense of greatness (hopefully). We shall see what 2018 has to offer! Cheers all!

I disagree about dishonest. The way I did customs was discussing and getting all details for knives, giving a price and time estimate, and no deposit. Sometimes the orders involved action from the customer part (like sending wood or providing specific details, like measurements they wanted). Sometimes those didn't come to me on time for when the knife build came up in turn, and with time I stopped chasing those things, I just crossed that knife off the list since the customer had not done his part in time and moved on. No money or items had changed hands.
When I open for customs again I will do things differently. Cheers.
