Hi Everyone, As a new member I'd like to start off with showing you some of my previous work. Here is a knife I made last year and I am really proud of. It is one of those outside-the-box builds which I really love doing. The Black Widow knife is a 210mm cutting edge integral chefsknife with horizontal tang construction. It is handforged out of 5 layers of uhb20c (Uddeholm 1095 equivalent) steel with pure nickel foil with a high contrast etch. The knife has a compact handle design, intended for pinch grip use and a balance point just in front of the bolster. The handle is made of a stabilized piece of 5440 year old bog oak with stainless steel corby bolts. All scale, tang and bolster edges have a light chamfer before glueing up the scale to prevent any hard uncomfortable edges if the wood moves a bit over the upcoming years of use. Geometry wise: a nice distal taper for a thin tip but not flexible blade. The knife has a subtle sgrind, which is not that visible but adds just a bit in cutting performance. Total length: 33cm Edge length: 21cm Blade height: 5.3 cm Spine thickness: 3.5mm at bolster, 1mm 2cm in front of tip Thickness behind the edge: 0.20 mm Total Weight: 185g Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks! I like doing integrals, and this was a way for me to give it something extra.
