Kind of a little to much bling for my taste, but beautifully made!
Nice work!

Oh, thats interesting. Do the Japanese also have a tradition of engraving kitchenknives or is it just a modern interpretation of the craftsman?
For me also a little too much but a nice work!

.. So thats why its much more convenient for Shinichi that we write in english so he can directly read it and does not have to use that ugly translators of doom. It really is a pleasure to have him in our Forum and you can directly ask him. That is very unique and we are very happy for this.. And i guess there will be A LOT OF Watanabe Knifes here soon in this Gallery Best regards Daniel

Yes, my 270 Pro Gyuto has arrived at the customs today! Expecting a pick up letter very soon! Wastl, wouldn't it be be better to call this thread "Watanabe Gallery" instead of just "Gallery"?

handles too plain/standard for a knife like that imo otherwise very cool knife

im with you in that regard actually and I would like a fairly straightforward handle on that knife. just a nice but more unique wood and ferrule as that blade/saya with a "every japan knife" handle just doesn't fit imo
